About LTTA
LTTA is a volunteer-based nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization based in the Crown Heights area of Brooklyn, NY. Brownsville, Crown Heights, Bedford-Stuyvesant, Canarsie, and Prospect Heights are among the neighborhoods that LTTA serves. A board of directors oversees our tennis association. We also have an executive board that includes our board of directors and other members who have been appointed.
We are a Community Tennis Association (CTA) with a membership in the United States Tennis Association (USTA). A CTA is a group of passionate volunteers and professionals who come together to support community tennis activities.
Lincoln Terrace Park serves as LTTA's operational base. There are currently 11 tennis courts there that were originally built in the 1930s and were rebuilt in 1996 and 2014 with new courts, retaining walls, fences, seats, lighting, and disabled-accessible areas.

The newly reconstructed courts, which were a part of a project funded by the New York City Council, were dedicated in late 2014 by Brooklyn's Park Commissioner Kevin Jeffrey and Council Member Darlene Mealy. It included 11 tennis courts, drainage systems, drinking fountains, and a new seating and event area with benches. The courts include lines for four junior courts, two of which are used for our summer youth tennis program and the free tennis program through NYC Parks.
LTTA has been around since the 1960s, and we have expanded significantly over the past 50+ years. Currently, we offer summer and winter tennis programs for kids, teens, and adults. In addition to our junior program, we offer an adult program for those who have never played tennis or are only interested in recreational play.
